Moee,

Just a question that is really at the heart of this discussion. If you could, have your method programed would you feel better to have the whole day rated in less time then it takes you now to do one race ? Or would you persevere making mistakes you arent even aware off, and wasting time better spend on sitting outside watching grass grow?

You obviously select your races very carefully as I cant see you do more then 3 in a day with that kind of workload. If your method was programed you would still be able to select the races you like only but would have a choice from the lot.

What about half your method programed ? Pressing a button doesent mean that everything might be programed , however spending 15 min per race and having the rest done in minutes instead of 1.45 hour must be a difference that would add quality of life that you cant imagine at the moment and ALL with the same RESULT.

I say this with all due respect and I dont mean any offence , perheps thought provocing, but that is it. I have been there before, doing race analysis that seamed to take hours per race and it took 2.5 hours to do a race and we only did Saturdays, so I have been there and done that. I also got payed for my work in winnings. We all do what we can. I have now been on the other side as well, now that analysis is done in 20 min for a saturday with no mistakes of which I made plenty, and for ALL races on the day. I dont start my analysis untill I have WA scratchings at 10.30 am on race day, untill then I dont even know what meetings are on and I dont care. AND I still get payed for the whole lot of work in winnings. Just the same as before.

I have helped several people, and the one overwhelming sentiment is the tremendous releif all these people felt having to dich the workload. Many have concearns that they will fall out of the loop or practice its natural as I have been there too but what is stopping you from doing the races after they raced without the presure and perhaps only then concentrate on horses that failed, to see what could have been done differently or improved .......
