Reading a below thread I was interested by statistics presented by Wesmip1 & Stix.

I've heard of certain statistics being discussed in media, horse forums etc, but was wondering how valid they are.

For example, to name a few.
Favourites win 33% of the time.
Odds of less than 6/1 or $7 win - 75%.
Horse running 14 days or less win - 85%
Last start winners - 50%

Are statistics like these readily available, and if so where would a punter view them?
