It is only illegal to gamble with an Australian casino via the net! The Interactive Gambling laws prevent Australian based operators from accepting bets from Australians - but you can gamble with the offshore operators to your heart's content and the Oz casinos can accept bets from overseas people. If ANYONE can explain the logic behind that bit of the law I would love to hear it as it makes absolutely no sense to me! Apparantly it is morally wrong for the Oz operators to encourage us to gamble - but if we can take money off any overseas suckers with a gambling problem then that is OK with the government! We don't want our problem gamblers gambling over the internet - that is what poker machines are for!

Of course I wouldn't recommend using online casinos at all UNLESS you are purely doing a bit of "bonus hunting" as all the games are stacked against you.
