mmmm a bit tough on North i would think. He has performed with the chances he has given, after paying his dues in state cricket for so long. I think he deserves to say - although i still think its obvious they should be putting these players in younger (see hussey, hodge etc).

and in any case, from all reports ponting loves having north in the team and he is unlikely to be dropped.

Siddle i don't think is suited to english conditions - he's better tailored to games where the captain needs long spells from him, he's unbelievably fit and strong through the chest and can bowl good pace for long periods. however despite his excellent seam position he can't seem to swing the ball effectively.

i would also put Lee in for siddle, Clark to come in if lee is not fit.
