Basaltico missed the start at Geelong then got checked in the straight. Even so, when he got clear he didn't seem to accelerate as fast as the winner. No doubt he'll be better with the run under his belt and up to 3200m, but it was a pretty weak Geelong Cup. I think he and Crime Scene are the two overseas horses with some hope. |
