An example of judgement:

The first qualifying race today, Hobart R1, looks hopeless to me. So I'm staying out. There are three clear selections but

The $5 selection is paying less than $2.50
The $3 selection is paying about $3
The $2 selection is paying about $4

Given that spread, it aint worth the bet. Plus I fancy #7 Weazel Wav as a real danger, so we could back three horses in a 5 horse race and still lose. And we're risking it for nothing.

There's still fifteen minutes to jump but its looking like a no bet race, system or no system.
