I think the curse of the forum was beginning to weave its evil magic. My observation, though not backed by hard evidence, is that horses in the longer price ranges show up early in their preparations. The horses resuming in the Autumn and Spring are often very talented gallopers and so, capable of beating city class when not fully wound up. The sort of horse resuming at this time of year is more often than not struggling to win in Saturday class when fully fit. Hope everyone has a merry Christmas and happy New Year.
