By my calcs you are showing $1.35 a race average profit for the win with a biggest run of outs of 9.

On the place you are showing $1.02 a race profit which is not significly less.

I dont know your place strike rate but would imagine would be very high.

My suggestion on the staking is the same as the other posts here flat stake it to your bank, but back the place only, as you won't get the run of outs which destroys your train of thought, and you will remain confident as you are getting constant returns.

The advantage of place is with the strike rate you must have you can safely bet to 10% of your bank, and you are not losing the 1 unit waiting for a winner.

If you bet 10% of your bank and your method holds up I guarantee after a month you will be shaking your head how much your bank has increased.
