if you check the 2 links supplied and compare say pakenham r1 today you will notice that there is a significant difference between the pre-post odds quoted
as to which is the better -- i wouldn't have a clue
at a guess i'd say that the pre-post odds are computer generated and don't necessarily reflect the actual market (money)
whereas, the "official" bookmaker opening price does reflect the early market and is consistant -- these are readily available from various bookmakers approx 15 minutes before jump -- i think that IAS might be an exception in that their opening prices are proprietary
