A sign indeed, other than the obvious 6/6, any horse that goes off at or under prepost has a much better strike rate than the odds on offer.
Given your propensity for place betting, getting best place price on the above contenders, is a pretty good strategy.

Looking at Saturday's results for example:

Not much profit there, but that's just an example.
