Hi Barny,

A system that showed a healthy profit over about 5 years on Melbourne Saturday races was
  1. Horse must be only tipped by one tipster in Herald Sun (1st, 2nd or 3rd)
  2. Horse was in top 5 in Herald Sun ratings (= Unitab ratings)
  3. Horse was <=$10 in Herald Sun prepost market
I haven't followed this for quite a while but it was making a good profit.
