From the Hong Kong Jockey Club website:

[how a TAB web site design SHOULD work]

Quote:

"To provide total customer satisfaction, the Jockey Club strives to provide attractive and innovative betting products and services to meet your expectations. The coming generation of betting tools, using the latest technology, allows you to bet when and where it best suits you. The user-friendly and one-stop betting services environment underlines our commitment to serving you better." End quote.

Promises ?

You better believe every word because I have never seen anything as slick, user friendly, nor as innovative as a help-all for working out just about anything you need to know to make selections, including 5 different types of calculators that open in their own window !!!

From 'Easy form" to Sectionals, jockey/trainer SR,track work performance, well just name your needs in a form service and they are there. FREE!!!

One service [not in this country] of great importance is the actual weight of the horse [and it's past weights] before it runs [important for working out condition peak and when the horse is tailing off, how BIG the horse is and it's ability to carry weight etc.].

It's about time the Aust. Racing Industry, the TAB and other web based bookie services [especially you know who] realized that there are many varied punting opportunities all looking for our business and that the crap that passes for a 'customer service' in this country needs a great big wake-up call as the betting world is now at our fingertips and captive audience monopolies like the TAB, are soon to be just a bad memory !!!

Hell, my attitude is rapidly heading toward ..." ************ betting on OZ races when I could far more easily [and accurately] bet on HK races with zero form data etc. costs " !!

70% of what is free from this site is info and analysis that would have to be paid for here and the money spent on these 'services' could be better spent as part of our punting bank and reducing the size of the 'edge' we need to see a profit.

Check it out in Hong Kong and realize that we are being treated as brain-dead hillbillies by the racing industry in this country and if they think that desperate efforts to lock out competition or that the new generation of 'mug punter' is going to remain so for long, well the whole industry is very, very wrong.

'The Status-Quo is dead, long live the Status-Quo' ???

Cheers.
