I am a firm believer in taking the overs when they present themselves... I dont bet odds on, with the very odd exception. To bet odds on the horse has to be THE ONLY real chance in a race. (as I see it).. Quite often if a horse is say 9 bucks on my assessment and it's paying better than 6 bucks i will back it PROVIDED I can make a profit on the race. I more often than not back more than 1 runner in a race.
Again, as i wrote in another thread the real big dividend gets the attention (Rotton Ron @ 39.00) but the best paying bet all day was the jumper in Victoria. I rated it an even money chance and it paid 10.20 (NSW TAB).. They are the kind of bets that make my punting profitable. We have had a fair run the last few weeks, I am waiting for the inevitable crash :smile:
