Alex
MY advice/winge [an IAS customer for a long time, but currently non active] is:
Step 1: to log onto the HKJC [hong kong jockey club] site and have a good look around ar what is offered as a free service [not product] and note just how much is offered and how smoothly everything works.
[I could spend a week on that site just exploring the customer friendly services/aids featured and they are all free ]
Step 2: is to log on to your IAS site and have a good look around at the free services [not product] featured which would take about 15 sec. Also note how SLOW everything is and generally how 'buggy' the site is.
Step 3: would be to prise Mark Read's wallet out of his [tight] back pocket and pinch a few lousy quid to invest some money on site programing and customer service down here at the ar.. end of the world.
Heck, the guy can afford a year round perm. suite/apartment at the Park Hyatt [highest rated hotel in Aust.] next to the pollies offices at the top of Collins in Melb. paid for by IAS customers, so it's no wonder to find a bit of neg. feedback here.
Perhaps using the same tech. mob HKJC use and spending a bit of dosh on a few miserable site services/punter aids might help members feel a bit more valued. Even 10% of the punter services offered by HKJC would be a giant step forward in customer relations by IAS.
The Problems for HK racing [wish we had their problems !] is probably more to do with the Mainland takeover and large exit of capital than any of the reason you have mentioned.
Cheers.
