You can't take a horse into the grandstand without it losing twice as much ground as following the other horses that were all racing in the "bog".

The losing margin was testament to how good Vandy was and he should have won by at least 3 lengths.

But we all have different views about everything on this forum. :wink:

The problem with leading trainers and riders is ego - they think they can do anything on a horse and it will perform, it doesn't work like that - you just can't defy basic horseriding.
