As a veteran of this forum let me say that many moons ago it was forbidden to post almost any link to any site, even to mention some sites could get you a suspension or post removed.

A lot of people complained about this and many left the forum because they felt freedom of speech was being censored, then a few years back the rules were relaxed and many returned with a lot of new people.

The general understanding of posting links is that the website mentioned is not directly linked to the poster financially.

This is a fair enough decision as the cost of running a website can be expensive and this revenue is made back with advertisements, so i think it is unfair of people to complain when they are asked not to do this.

There are options if you wish to have a website that you run posted in your signature and if you wish to advertise you could contact the board admin about it.

Let's not go back to the old days as i for one enjoy being able to post almost anything related to punting with out worrying about if i can or can't post it.
