beton, an anomaly is a deviation from what's normal. I would think any sort of interest in the "Red Hots" is a huge anomaly !!!!! I used to watch Sunnyside Up hosted by Bill Collins and they used to go live to the Showgrounds Trots each Saturday night. We'd all have two bob in for each race, winner take all.
