I did get access to bf bot manager but the bot does not match the manual and even if I try to set up a strategy all the options under the tabs are just blanked out grey pages. I have let bf bot manager know this but is not a good start if something that basic is not "fool proof". (I said that just in case I did something other than follow instructions in the manual).
I am wondering whether anyone does really set their strategies and trust the automated programs to works correctly?

That doesn't sound right hendo. Try completely uninstalling it and re-installing it. And maybe even switch your computer off and on. I don't think there should be any "grey areas".
