It also depends how youa attack the sports. Knowing the sports well doesn't matter if you are analyzing statistics to create a computer model.

However if you are betting based on your own (and hopefully informed) opinions, then more than a few sports can be inefficient.

Concerntrate on one. If you can beat it, then you can start thinking about another one and so on.
