Thank you Chrome...much appreciated. Hope you took a look at my Maiden system that is working well...
As far as breeding goes...it depends whether a horse is to be retained for racing or is being sold at the sales. Commercial breeders or those looking to make as much money as they can from the purchase will breed their mare to the hottest sire...never mind whether the mare matches genetically with the sire or not. Some astute breeders have produced champions and/or very good racehorses by matching a lower level sire that genetically reinforces their mare's best strengths genetically and conformationally...then nature takes it's course.
