Melbourne cup is a lucky dip. You can get all the tips you want but your own pick could do just as well. There are not enough two mile races in australia to be able to say who is going to win along with the fact that there are 24 runners and bad luck can certainly ruin the chances of the best horse.
My tip for the cup is half your normal stake, that way you have already won!!

I like Vinnie Roe, with a rough chance at big odds to Don Rapheal.
