Hi,
There is a limit to how much form one can do. The racing industry operates seven days a week but do its participants want to work seven days a week?
Country racing often has poor bookmaker betting rings betting to very high percentages.
As you have pointed out about the tote - the "value" disappears. The tote markets are often just too thin.
