Tricky affair as around half the field are untried at the distance.

If you're looking for good value (12) Bondy does look the goods. Back in form last start with a handy 4th behind Tingirana at Flemington over 2800M. Won’t have any trouble with the distance and can handle all track conditions. Looks an excellent EW chance. Listed in Paddy’s market at 30/1 EW.

(9) Garida will relish the step up in distance and like Bondy can handle any track condition. Looks nice EW value as well. Listed in Paddy’s market at 16/1 EW.


(10) The lightly raced Uma King has shown some good form since stepping up in distance recently. Not far behind some more than useful types past couple of starts. Okay any track condition. Listed in Paddy’s market at 9/1 EW.


Finally would include likely favourite (2) Diamond Jake. Another who has done well over this distance in the past. Excellent 3rd behind Pacific Dancer in the Geelomg Cup last start. Okay all going. Probably weighted up to his best but does have the services of Nash Rawiller to compensate somewhat. Listed in Paddy’s market at 5/2 EW.
