the beauty of doing it my way is that had Zazzman or any other roughie got up and 2 of my 3 run a place, I still get it plus it pays more.
Even had Vinnie Roe won it would of been a bigger payout.

Last year my friend picked
Makybe Diva, Jardine's Lookout & ????.
She's Archie ran 2nd, so it just shows that you only need 1 roughie to get in the first 3 to get a decent payout ($11K half unit). And you don't get wiped out if a roughie gets up for 2nd if you take 2 to run 1st & 2nd.

Admittedly I did think about taking Makybe Diva & Vinnie for 1st and 2nd then the field, but chickened out. Once the rain came I thought it was a good bet, I only put the bet on 3 minutes before the race. Even though it cost me more I liked the insurance, had Vinnie run 3rd.

There was $11M in the Win pool on Uni Tab for the Melb Cup. While there was $10.5M in the trifecta pool. There has to be value in there somewhere.
