just reading through here, some interesting combinations. My favourite trifecta method is picking 1 standout and using him as a rover with the field. Ideally i pick races between 9 - 11 to keep costs down. With larger fields I will have rover with 8 others, seems to do ok. Another favourite of mine is in races (dogs good with fields of eight) is when you have a short priced favourite, is to put field 1st favourite 2nd field 3rd, this costs $21 for half and you get some very nice returns when a roughie beats the fav.
