I will usually put 3 horses on top of a triffecta 2 which I feel are the standout picks regardless of the odds then I will find the best roughie I can find in the race who I give the best opportunity to win.

I will then add another 3 to the 2nd line coupled with the first 3 that is the method I have had the best success with it costs me $30 for a half unit not cheap but it is alright when it works out even better when the roughie gets up with the rest of them.
