Try six of 'em...
Here in the states, we have the pick 6, where one must pick the winner of 6 consecutive races. We get those horrendous maiden races in them too. Makes it pretty much a lottery instead of handicapping skills being advantageous. Hell, they even have a quik pick for it, where you order a computer generated bet with 6 random runners. That IS a lottery, plain and simple. Track officials have told me that they card the crappy races in the gimmick in order to give it a huge, jackpot payoff, which in turn lures more suckers to the track...
The twin trifecta is not much easier. We have a superfecta where one must pick the 1st 4 finishers of a race in order. Still preferable to picking the winner of four different races, in my opinion. There are daily doubles and pick threes, which are a bit easier. Good luck to you.
