Trying to nail "the winner" can be a thankless task.I keep statistics on tipsters polls (pretty well just for interest). Ian Craig who is head and shoulders above the rest could manage a big fat "zero" with his first pick yesterday, the 26th.Yet five out of eight of his second choices were winners.
That was more or less the scenario for the four major venues yesterday,(sorry you sand gropers). When you select four horses per race it's not too difficult to become an "expert" tipster. Those experts would be on the breadline pretty quickly if they were paid on the result of their first selection.
Out of interest,Craig hits the jackpot (with his four tips) 77% of the time. The worst of them (who will remain anonymous) manages 45%.For me those results seem to underline the disadvantages of punting with single bets.Lolol and following media tipsters.
I enjoy reading all of the different ideas and new systems here on the forum and really admire someone who has the ticker to post single selections.Good luck,, good punting..
