Our "place" is the equivalent of your "show" so it pays on 1st, 2nd or 3rd if 8 or more runners in the race and on 1st and 2nd only if between 5 and 7 runners (no place betting if less than 5 runners). We dont have the third option for 1st/2nd only.

Yes IAS is for real and pays guaranteed better than any of the three totes for selected races (basically the main Saturday racing and, I think, some Wednesday meetings) but there are some conditions on bet size and placing bets at least 1 minute before start.
