Remember Aunty Mary from back in the 90s? A very handy mare which ended up winning over 1/2 a million dollars, but she certainly wasn't any champion. Well, she used to run in all the big races against horses like Filante, Juggler, Doriemus, Jeune, Mahogany etc and pretty much every time she did, she opened up favourite on the tote. Obviously everyone that had an Aunty Mary must have backed her. |
