This happened just last Sunday:
You'll probably know by now that I love to include the outside barrier horse in my trifectas and things. Well, in the last race at Cranbourne, I did just that. Well I thought I did. I included no.3 Correct Omoondo in my trifecta, (even included it in tips on this forum) but then after I'd put my bet on and just as they were about to jump, I noticed that I'd actually made a mistake. It was only in the 2nd outside barrier. The real outside barrier horse was in fact no.7 Blue Collar Jack. Well, guess what. They were in the straight with about 150m to go and and Blue Collar Jack was leading and looking like a certain winner. Then all of a sudden the horse just veered off or something and threw the race away. Two of the favourites came in 1st and 2nd and yep, Correct Omoondo snuck in for 3rd ahead of Blue Collar Jack giving me the $383 trifecta. Weird.
