I have spoken to IAS yesterday and I was told they do not expect to have any wagering on Japan racing.
Interesting to see Betfair say they would be facilitating punters interested in Japan. We should all email them as Floydyboy has done to raise interest (maybe?). Betfair could be our only chance to get on the mare unless someone can identify an overseas agency taking bets. I am going to email them too and then cross my fingers and hope that someone can get involved who wants to lay the mare.
Apparantly she lost some weight but has put it back on quickly, is near her racing weight and is relaxed so the signs are good. Given the display by Grand Armee last Sat where he went back to 2000m there is every chance if she is well the short break will also allow her to perform up to her best over 2000m this week. The form of the good horses she has been dominating continues to be very encouraging. Granted 59kg this week (as quoted by Lee) and racing in Japan could be a curve ball but if available the good odds would compensate for any risk especially if they are eachway or over as you could expect.
If she is ready and does run so brilliantly again this week but you cannot get on then you could say the horse has literally bolted! That senario could seriously effect her odds for her target the Tenno Sho 3200m - the weight for age (?) race over a distance where she is 3 for 3.
'Let it ride' seems to be one site where it might be possible to identify an overseas agency betting on Japan I have looked quickly but not identified an agency yet.
Any information put in a post as I will.
