have you calculated your strike rates in terms of raters eg. rating 1 say won seven races out of 20 races etc and the average div. generally the top 5 produce about 80% winners is that what you find.

Have you looked at where the field size may mean that win betting is more appealing than trifecta betting.

As a general rule i have found that say 13 and above is ok for trifectas with dividends etc. pending on the prices of the ratings but smaller fields win betting is profitable too.
