Didn't have a bet on the QEII, but I watched and thought the Australians were pretty disappointing actually.

Be fired out of the barriers (ala Fashions Afield in the Sires Produce - D. Beasley aboard) get out in front and try and decimate the field coming around the turn. Instead GA was called upon to chase, and we all knew that was never going to happen, and finished a disappointing 11th.

I am not for a minute saying GA WOULD have broken the field had it had the lead, but it was its only chance, and unfortunately it didn't have that chance.

Elvstroem no excuses race-wise, had basically everything going for it, I heard Tony Vasil wasn't too happy with Nash's ride, but if Elvstroem was at peak fitness, then there can be no excuses for its run.
