A different slant on AVP
For anyone interested, here is a method(NOT a system)of isolating the main chances in Handicaps & Welters. You will need a copy of the Sportsman or Wizard to operate this method.Once you have marked your designated races(I only usually operate on the daily double races)go thru the entire field and add up the total average prizemoney of all runners. Then divide this figure by the number of runners. This will give you a cut off figure,i.e 10 runners total AVP $55,000,cut off $5,500.Any runner with AVP above $5,500 becomes a selection if
A)it has raced within the last 21 days
B)if it did not run 1-2-3 must have finished within 3 lengths of the winner
Suggested strategy..........
Take the final qualifiers as bankers in qinellas and trifectas with the next 5 down the list.If prices permit back the top 2 selections at 2 units win 8 units place.
