I had yet another awesome day with the scratching of World Peace out of race 1 I ended up settling on Unite and Prrosper which basically then meant I couldn't lose on the day then the Cup I was worried where Portland Singa was drawn but to be honest it may not have won if it wasn't drawn wide because they may have tried to snag her back a bit from a good gate. When she turned in front by so far all I could was just yell and yell and yell but the time she got the winning post I was jumping up and down with no voice left. On a sad note Danasri broke down right in front of us didn't look good but from reports at the track sounded like they are trying to save him anyway which is good to hear.

Just thought I would use this now to say although Doomben maybe the most modern of the 2 race tracks I just love how close you are to the action at Eagle Farm between giving High Fives to Michael Cahill as he rode past on St.Basil after the win on Saturday to little things like patting Make Mine Magic at the end of the day I just had an absolute ball this weekend and probably would have even if I hadn't of won but the fact I won about 5 times what I came down here with just made it that much sweater.


Obviously I amnot talking from experience of ever being to carnivals in the past but if you haven't been to Straddie weekend then go you will love it.
