When Do you jump on or off ?
I like to follow up on my winners usually and for good results..Merlot Now for instance was very good to me...Bomber bill is the same..
Kept on Spirit Of Tara and she finally saluted...but jumped off Portland Singha after backing it the last 2 races..still kicking myself..
I suppose you have to forgive a horse 1 bad run and that will be my rule from now on,,,2 strikes and your out,,,,just wondering what you guys do..i read where Sportz missed out on a huge winner after jumping off..and how many times has that happened to all of us....
I'll still analyse the race as usual but i think i'll need more of a reason to jump off than (Bad barrier) as with Portland Singha....good horses, good jockeys in form can overcome these setbacks..
Was very interested in a post on another forum that mentioned following a horse you think has champion qualities and sticking with them..
Horses Like Lonhro, sunline ect..if you had followed these horses regardless you would of been way ahead..
the therory is that champion horses can overcome bad barriers conditions unsuitable distance ect and still win with just sheer class..
...is there a horse on the horizon that looks a champion ?
In brissie theres Virage De Fortune..although i'm not convinced she'll be a champion..
Bently Biscuit is one i think might make the grade..
as for the 2yo's coming back .... Mnesyne , Snitzel and Written tycoon are all horses that i think might have champion qualities..
any other nominations are apreciated....we should start a list and see how we go.
