If you have 2 horses boxed for quinella 1 unit it is $1. If you have 2 horses boxed for exacta 1 unit it costs $2. Therefore if the exacta isnt more than double the quinella you would be better off having 2 units on quinella rather than 1 unit on exacta. Results favour quinella.
