I know exactly what you mean Mav. St Basil is a perfect example, there runs always look to be fantastic because they are flashing home, but a horse who's done plenty of work and works to the line nicely is what i prefer. I get caught out a bit, like with Miss Starnee and Opio Miss, a couple from this thread. But there is nothing better then being on them when they are winding up and you know how strong they can finish.
