Stix Tips - Caulfield Saturday 6 August
Hi All
My thoughts on Caulfield this Saturday..... good to see some nice horse flesh back on the park....
Race 1 (1100m Hcp)- (2) Automation - ran nice time just to score last start in the slow, so handles it okay
- (6) Wildwood Road - very speedy youngster dropping back 100m and might be in favour
- (3) Line Account - Not seen since Blue Diamond when drawn out of it, going on debut here.
- (1) The Rhine - Talented and will improve with racing and is good first up
Race 2 (1100m Hcp) Talented field and keep following the place getters - (4) Pinezero* - Getting better with racing and won recent trial leading.
- (3) Expensively - lead and won well last start and will take running down
- (2) Amarazetti - Didn't fire a shot in QLD, has loads of ability and if stays out of trouble (does get back) will give it a shake
- (1) Crevette - Won first up in only preparation and finished of nicely, experience will count in this
Race 3 (1100 m Hcp)- (4) Maduro - SA visitor with great from only has to handle track to be in this
- (5) Judusk - Extra distance will suit and placed all 7 starts over this distance and love it wet
- (7) Beach Box - Goes very well fresh and loves track and has won over distance
- (2) Sure Bet - Very consistent miler, sprints well fresh and handle track and distance, but may take a run or two to get going
Race 4 (1400m Hcp)- (7) Furaat - Didn't have any luck at all when climbing all over them
- (3) Northern Rose - Beaten by horse in better going, likes track and distance and conditions suit
- (2) Honest Pollitican - Doesn't know how to run a bad race, didn't have any luck last start and will be fitter
- (1) Astrodame - Classy and on better going would street these even with poor strike rate, but has run against much better horses than these
Race 5 (1400m Hcp)- (2) Stratton Place* - Beaten by bias last start, everything in his favour AND OWES ME !
- (9) Final Express - Not a bad run in Monash and will be fitter and improve from barrier
- (6) Little Dozer - been racing in great style and track conditions suit
Race 6 (Bletchingly Stakes)- (6) Wildly* - Wasn't far off last start and can turn the table on (1) Super Elegant
- (1) Super Elegant - What can you say.... bullet proof and keeps giving
- (8) Hollow Bullet - Won first up and loves track, distance and conditions no worry, classy and on Caulf Cup trail
- (9) Dilly Dally - v. unlucky not to beat (1) Super Elegant last start - totally honest horse
Race 7 (2000m Hcp)- (1) Evil Master* - Some call him a non-winner, but i reckon eachway all day
- (11) Madison Lane - promising and building nice record, track, distance and conditions suit
- (2) Hong Kong Cheri - Racing well can't dismiss over this distance
- (3) Hunter Hermitage - Loves the heavy and has placed this distance
Race 8 (1100m Hcp)- (5) Delicate Snip* - Great 1st up run and should lead these lot and be too good
- (7) Amber Shimmer - Speedy and if doesn't spend too much getting to front will test the (5)
- (1) Salsa - distance only worry here, but form is faultless
- (14) Courtney's Cuddles - light weight hope, has won at distance and conditions will suit
Best Bet
