RE: Sam Sung A Song
He is a great little horse. Wasn't put out by injury as such, but Bled. (ie blood from the lungs). Automatic 3 months disqualification.
If he bleeds again he is banned from racing forever.
I know a part owner. Nice barrier trial recently without doing too much. Could be a good first up.
From Race 6 onwards early thoughts as follows:
RACE 6
The Dragon, The Dragon the Dragon. This is a real horse this fellow. Don't like my chances of getting better than $2.20 or so though.
RACE 7
I like Mummify. Dry track will suit him (if it is dry). Hard to go past a horse that beat a 'world class field' in the Singapore QEII over 2000m. A bit flat in Melbourne last start in the Craiglee Stakes, but first up over a mile, I can forgive that. He also won the Group 1 Yalumba over 2000m last Spring, so I like him at the distance. I like him for the Cox Plate if well drawn and the track is dry.
RACE 8
Fashions Afield is a 'bridesmaid worry' at this stage. Ascot Vale Stakes Run was a huge dissappointment for the punters, but the Flemington straight 6 Furlongs isn't every horses' cup of tea. But for some reason I just can take her at $2.50 or whatever she will start at. I like Carry on Cutie for value with Mnemosyne being the obvious form horse.
RACE 9
I've had my doubts about Lotteria, but in that field it is hard to go past her.
Good punting
