Funny thing about this thread. First, I thought it was about some characters who hang around the track, but when I read it I was surprised because I was just starting to refine my own "Track Legends" into a key code for others to use and to develop more and logical characters. I use these three codes the most to sum up a horse's running style: S=speed, runs on pace, ST=stalker, runs in mid-pack just behind leaders, C=closers, come from far behind and usuallly wide on the turn for home. These make it easier to group horses when a bias is prevalent. When a horse is multi-dimensional: V=versatile

T=turf or turfer(better runner on turf than on dirt)
!=take notice of "this" or a very positive sign
?= research "this" or a negative sign to stay away from this runner
--- = I will draw a line through a runner's past races that are irrelavent and should not even be considered when handicapping
>= I will use this when stating a runner or sire's percentage of wins/winners, such as "sire has > 20% Debut Winners on T(I.E. Encosta de Lago >22% 1X T!)
