I suppose i'm diferent to you as i have a large stable of runners and usually only rate races with these in them..
check out tomorrow..
the last in Brissie looks a cracker as does the Murray Bridge Cup and Geelong racing..
i'm guesing alot of us are looking at these and i'm even looking at Saturday already

Thanks for your Advice and encouragement W924...I'm hopefully finalising some business interests which keep me very busy although not very profitable at this stage.....punting is some what financing all of these ventures at the moment..
the goal is to sort few things out and be free and clear by about March..
i'll keep a few minor things going which arent too time consuming so i still have a source of income thats not reliant on the horses..
I have'nt expereinced the dreaded run of outs yet ..but i've only been going 1 and 1/2 years seriously so i guess my time will come..starting from such humble beginnings i've come along way ..the things i've learnt from this forum has been invaluable..one bit of advice i got from Sportz and year and half ago was to be more selective ...its taken me this long to realise that this is real good advice..i used have a million runner running arround....still have to many on the Saturays but i'm slowly getting there,,,
The dream is to go full time ..travell around the country following feature meetings and as well hopefully watching my own horses racing..
Being a recently single man i couldnt think of a more exciting proffession..

Good to hear your doing so well Mav. I wouldnt reccommend going full-time pro (from my own personal experience) but if it's something you need to try, then all the best. I used to spend 12-14 hr days keeping up with the form, waiting patiently for the overlays, etc & I eventually got sick of it. Suddenly this game wasn't so much fun. The angina attacks weren't much fun either

I pulled the pin on that venture a few years ago & went & got myself a degree instead. A few years away from the game renewed my love of it, but i will forever remain a small time punter now.

I'd really, really recommend you try getting some work with Humbleton instead, you'd do it standing on your head, as would quite a few on this forum.

Good luck anyway
