Hey Mav, not a bad days racing in Brissie tomorrow, good support for the Melb card i thought...

Race 1 - Thought Minassi was the one here, back significantly in class. Didn't really run to the price last time, but should improve with the run under his belt. Boom Shaker has been running well in the mid-weeks and the claim will help a lot. Audubon is a nice horse on the rise, and can easily figure here with a decent run.

Race 2 - Dunno....(again) Maybe Plachutta might improve. Velyell and So Highfalutin might be thereabouts. I'll steer clear of the short one, don't fancy taking odds on about a 2yo with only 1 start....maybe i'm just not adventurous enoguh

Race 3 - Like the way Klondike Kid won last time and the extra 200m looks like it will suit. Rashini should take some benefit from the first up run and this appears to be much easier class. The 1kg off his back will also help, not being a very big horse. Kanpeki was a good win last time in maiden company, but the way she did it suggests that she could be competitive here.

Race 4 - Ripping, another stayers race. Maybe Special Langfuhr and Minoa to fight out the finish with Gold Victory also a good chance - liked the way he finished his race off last time, the extra 400m shouldn't be a worry in the world.

Race 5 - I've gone pretty rough here, because i couldn't warm to any of the ones in the market. Kanes Crossing. He can go quickly out front and if he gets left alone to a certain extent, he could kick on in the straight. Free As Air has ability, you've just gotta get him on the days he wants to show it . Bandos was given a wrap from a few places before his last run, and i'm willing to forgive it. Has a nice alley tomorrow aswell, won't be far off them at the turn and will get his chance.

Race 6 - Algorithm should go close here. Has got the first up record, has got the good alley and the good jockey. They'll go fairly quickly, and i can just see him camped just behind waiting for the run in the straight. Golden Fox has a horror draw but has plenty of talent, Doomben seems to be his track too. Sharp Aunty will love the speed on up front and will be charging home at the end.

Race 7 - Good Race. Champion Star is a nice horse, who excels fresh - albeit in easier class, but he has shown that hes easily up to this class before. Warrior Trader could improve with the recent racing, races well on pace and Doomben obviously should suit. Messiaen has the alley, and gets some weight relief and is a good chance to win this.

Race 8 - Mameluke got no favours last time. It was a dawdling speed and they had no chance to get home from the tail. I think he can go close here, with some good speed in the race (naturally the horrible draw doesn't help). General Sam has a chance here, from the 2 gate. Will sit 3 or 4 back on the fence and be ready to sprint at the right end. Good jock too. Chasin' Tail has just kept winning lately, but the 1600 is the query. I'm willing to risk at this stage.

Best tomorrow would be Minassi and Algorithm with a good value chance to Kanes Crossing....Black Ink, Lachlan River and Majorca in Melbourne too

Good Luck everyone

Sven
