In case you haven't heard about this, last year some old footage was posted on You Tube.

In late 1969 two Australians bought a lion cub from Harrods in London. They raised it as a pet and it quickly grew. After a year they decided to have it rehabilitated and released in the wild in Kenya.

About a year after it was released they decided to visit it. They were told there was no point as it now had its own pride, would not remember them, was completely wild and would likely tear them to pieces.
