quoted from reputable source: "We would like ask all of our customers running Windows to consult the following web page provided by Microsoft about the issue, to reduce the chances of suffering problems with their systems: http://www.microsoft.com/security/incident/sasser.asp |

G'day Puntz,
My ISP advised ALL customers that this Sasser.A, is currently infecting Windows XP,2000.NT and Windows Server 2003 users and goes on to say.... "Infected machines may re-boot every few minutes and users will not be able to connect to the internet. Unlike most other computer infections, Sasser A is NOT spread be email instead you can become infected by simply connecting to the internet" Needless to say mate I have D/L'ed the security patches from the address you stated. Cheers Squirter. |
