John,
Not sure whether this is true of all computer generated games but the one run by S.A. Lotteries (played in South Australia and also in ACT via ACTTAB) is run with same odds as the "organic" game. The numbers are generated by a random number generator and there is no fixed take out - the take is just determined by the odds (eg. if playing 1-spot then you have a 25% chance of winning each game but the payout is only $3 so the house take is 25%). As woof43 correctly pointed out the 3-spot gives the lowest house take figure (the high-spot games have the biggest house advantage which is why they are promoted more than the low spot games). However the odds are still pretty poor so I wouldn't recommend playing it at all except purely for some fun.
