Mav, i don't know how you bet for big bikkies in such a shocking race. It is impossible to be confident in anything, i hate it. Easy to say after the ball however, bad luck mate.

In Hindsight i agree... i think sometimes you can get carried away with winning...and you feel invincible..
I've been lucky enough lately to be on a roll,,But yesterday was a huge loss and now i've come bck to Earth in a big way...

Was at the track with a few Big Punters and got carried away with the Atmospere..
Hollow Bullet and Cocinero were my original specials for the day and collected big but made some stupid bets later on..
I've never shied away from 2yo races and Maidens as my figures show i'm way ahead on these type of races..

The Barrier draw killed Snitzel yesterday and Written tycoon was ridden poorly..although backing horses from outside barriers will send you broke in the long run..
Lesson learned....and although the account took a hit yesterday i'm still keeping my head way above water ..
Next weekend is my last betting weekend for awhile as i'm going to the states...might be good to have a break...but i'll try and check out the races over there ...i'm guessing they'll be some Kentucky Derby lead up races or something..

Unhappy Woe is me

Despite have Stratum rated on top and Media rated second - see earlier post(As did Goldmember - well done) I still came out with nothing for the race.
Decided to back Media staight out and had Stratum/Media for quinella.

Same old story - better luck next time.

I thought Stratum was a special, as did the connections, but i didnt want to put the "Mock" on him by saying it, at least we have won the slipper again [ long time since Luskin Star]. Had a good day backing Jeriamaid,Hollow Bullet, Makybe Diva and Stratum, pity i didnt have a parlay though!.
