Hartnell, a few starts in Melbourne, yet to show any form there
Jameka, on pace stayer, looks well suited Scottish, all wins around 2000m on good tracks Exosphere, no wins beyond 1400m Highland Reel, 3rd in last years Cox, won Hong Kong Vase 2400m, prefers dry tracks Tarzino, on pace stayer, won Vic Derby over 2500m Our Ivanhowe, 3rd in last years Caulfied Cup, since won Doomben Cup Berisha, winner last years Mornington Cup 2400m, might not be suited Caulfield The United States, won last years Moonee Valley Cup 2500m, other than that no real form > 2000m Tavago, won last years Australian Derby 2400m, done little couple of runs in Melbourne since spell |

Sir Isaac Newton, all wins 2000m or less, prefers a soft track Articus, good strike rate, all wins 2000m, placed only starts longer Real Love, another with good strike rate, normally races on pace so race should suit Tally, most of his form over 2000m or less, did run 3rd Australian Derby (2400m) Set Square, 2014 Oaks winner 2500m, mixed form since Gallante, on pace stayer, won last years Sydney Cup, prefers a soft track Howard Be Thy Name, won last years SA Derby, all form on good tracks |

Sir John Hawkwood, this years Metropilitan winner, on pace stayer, race should suit
Sacred Master, this years Newcastle Cup winner, likely to get back early, will need luck in running Antonio Giuseppe, improving stayer, runner-up Metropiltan, race should suit Preferment, Australian Cup / BMW winner, can be a bit inconsistent, best foot forward a definite chance Who Shot Thebarman, previously unplaced twice in this race, perhaps a place with luck in running Almoonqith, last years Geelong / Sandown Cups winner, form since uninspiring |

Thought it a bit strange when I checked out the form of Exosphere, leading to my comments “no wins beyond 1400m” thus dismissing the horses chances. The horse in this race is the overseas version of Exosphere, now called Exospheric. So, an update. Exospheric, winner of four races from 2000m-2400m in England, traveled well, settled in well. Nice barrier, Cups winning jockey Damien Oliver to ride Last edited by rhino82 : 11th October 2016 at 08:59 PM. |
