Default Strategy for Free $50 SP Betfair Bet

Hi all,

I have been offered a free $50 SP bet on Betfair for today only (Sat 28/02/2015) and was wondering if anyone had a strategy to use for this.

I immediately thought of a lay bet and maybe laying a short priced fav to maximize my return. As I don't want to lose any money I won't add to the $50 amount.

On the other hand backing a $3 fav would double my money.

Any ideas gents (and any ladies present)?

No one?

Actually just looked at the email again and it has to be a lay bet.

I think I'll just bite the bullet and lay an odds on fav & hope like crazy that it doesn't win.

Anyone know of any odds on favs today that is a false fav?

Thumbs up

I ended up taking the approx $2 fav All Troops in the first race at Warwick (Warwick & Warwick Farm on the same day...lol). It started at 2.14 BSP and, luckily for me, lost. That's $43.85 less commission jumps in the kick.

It didn't even place, would have been nice to lay for the place. Oh well, better than losing like I usually do with these sorts of things.
